So After Effects uses very little GPU and hardly uses CPU. So does it ever finish rendering anything It's taken Adobe two years since they surveyed the user base regarding After Effects performance an

Fast forward to mid 2016 and it's still the same. Adobe have taken full fare off users for this delivered software that has very poor render performance. It's not good enough. Resolve uses 75-80% of C

Blending is broken in Premiere because of support for CUDA. This is an attempt to fix it and doesn't work properly. You get all sorts of issues. Why don't they just fix what's broken No other app has

Premiere Pro CC Export Speed

I dont understand why that should impact H.264 encoding which is independent of Apple QT. BTW - I found a speed boost from the GTX Titan, even for H.264 encoding.

Not sure these are so relevant with the way Premiere effects operate. When motion is selected, you can direct manipulate both position and scale. Both are visible when you twirl down motion and these

Multithreaded rendering is also buggy. I don't know anyone who doesn't have issues with it (stalling, crashing AE) even when it is setup correctly.
Longevity (or not) of SSDs

Like most stuff about HDDs and SSDs the focus is on uses other than video storage. We spend most of our RAID use on reads not writes. Tests I have seen for consumer SSDs show they still work perfectly

Hi John 2:1 is not as compressed as Prores. Maybe try a loss-less CODEC if you can. The alternative is the Adaptec controller I mentioned, which is not expensive, unless it turns out not to be drives.
