The updates are fine and working here. You shouldn't put the apps in a seperate folder before updating. Install, update, than put in folder.

Interesting. I thought you meant 10 bit output as in 10 bit SDI Monitoring. For example in DaVinci, on project level it's always 16 bit processing even if you monitor 8 bit on your DVI monitors.

AJA has great products and great support, but they have a problem. And that problem is called DaVinci Resolve. If you need monitoring from Resolve you don't have an option.

With RAW video they mean you can capture umcompressed or ProRes from the Thunderbolt connection. It's a live capture. It's not RAW like the internal DNG RAW capture.

Do a test and copy the source files to your internal SATA. Try the same. It's not recommended to edit from system drive but this way you have SATA speed to test compared to FW800

Video playback in Premiere 5.5 was and is a disaster. In CS6 they got it working very very very Good. It's not your BMD device. It's Adobe. Upgrade CS6 and you will be happy.

AJA cards never have this problem, probably because of the framebuffer in the AJA products. I have seen this problem on multiple Blackmagic FCP systems. It's not a FCP thing, it's a Blackmagic thing,
