I don't see a way to select all the keyframes and change them to positive unless it is possible to write a script to do it .. or some third party software like Vegasaur might do it

This problem has been seen before. I believe it relates to your video card drivers or windows screen settings. Are you using the latest or best drivers for your video card Here's a thread that discuss

Set your project properties for 29.97 and let it fly. I think the 59.94 should work ok with a 29.97 frame rate. Render out a section at 29.97 fps that has both types of footage and see how it looks. N
Weird issue: Sony vegas preview freezing after split.

Here is the problem, sony vegas used to be working fine with my R9 280x. After I upgraded by PC with a GTX 1060 I got this problem. The video in preview is smooth if it's just one long piece of video.

I suspect your screen capture software is creating files that Vegas does not like and this might be the problem .. otherwise, I have never seen where splitting an event causes Vegas to freeze. I use M

I hear ya ... no shortcut that I could find to replace a media event in the trimmer with the "next" one in sequence. Two other ways .. Drag your media into the open trimmer window. It will replace the
