by Nitin Burli 3 weeks ago
Hi, I'm casting volumetric light onto a plane, I only want the light casted onto the plane to be visible and not the plane itself. Attached photo for reference.

it doesn't look like a deficiency in the texture but more like you need to increase the antialiasing settings

Expression to randomise color value for an 'x' amount of time in the course of an 'x' duration amount.

Thanks Kevin, your technique is nice, it didn't come to what I wanted to achieve though. Still, I'm bound to require it some time. I finally used C4d and textured it with animating numbers horizontall
Shape Layer - Offsetting shape rotation from within comp
by Nitin Burli 2 years ago
Hi, This is a fairly complex question for me to ask. I have made a custom shape in a 100x100 comp. I've then converted the shape layer to react to a 3d space and given all axis a time*150 rotation exp

This should do it: seedRandom(index, true); rotationspeed = 100+random()*100; rotationstart = 360 * random(); rotationstart+time*rotationspeed You layers will now start each at a different initial rota
