Hi Neal, You'll need a i o device of some type. I've been very happy with my blackmagic intensity extreme. Also, AJA makes a product called TTap that does the same thing. Best of luck.

Neal, I have used both Blu-Ray and RAID 1 arrays as backup for P2 cards and I do happen to like using Blu-Ray. Hard drives are nice but in the end, they will fail. Every hard drive will fail as a rule

I just sent a big box of tapes to Carpel. I received no money for the tapes but they did pick up the postage. I found it better to send the tapes to them instead of them going into a land fill.
