Controlling layers with identical animation but scattered over timeline

Hello. I'm in a situation where I have around 700 layers and all of them have identical animation - a small position and opacity change. The problem is that they are on different places on timeline an

In case you need the layers' outPoints to have keyframes, here's an updated project file that shows this functionality: 13087_keyframesatinpointexpressionv2.aep.zip

by Nate Vander Plas 8 months ago
I'm trying to create an odometer-style counter that is counting days (2 digits, loops back to 0 after 30), months (2 digits, loops back to 0 after 11), and years (1 digit). It only has to go up to 5 y

Thanks for taking a look! Good point with not using bells and whistles until the basics are working. I did make sure to add that stuff after I had some of it working. The thing is, the motion blur was

Decontaminate Edges or Refine Edge- WITHOUT Roto Brush?

So, I do a fair amount of roto work, and largely gave up on Roto Brush years ago since it is sooo slow and usually does not give me great results. The only thing I really liked about it was the abilit

This is cool! Makes me think Adobe should include options for HUD elements like this by default, similar to Cinema 4D. This expression would be much more useful to me if it could ignore certain types

Thanks, Dan! This works like a charm! I don't need any more functionality for what I'm doing right now, but I can see for the future and for others, it might be helpful to have the option to re-enable
Remove Anamorphic Lens Distortion

I have a locked-off tripod shot that I need to add 3D elements to in Cinema 4D. It was shot on a 50mm anamorphic lens, and I'm finding that matching the perspective is very tricky. It doesn't seem to

How long did it take you to learn C4D well enough before you were able to use it professionally?
by Maha Mohtaseb 7 years ago
I'm in the process of learning C4D, and I know After Effects really well, so that's been a bit helpful. I'm curious how long it takes most designers to get a good enough grip on C4D to start using it

It depends on what you consider professional work. If that's high end character animation in complex scenes, it may take a long time. But if you're like me, once you get a grip on simple stuff like ex
