Unable to Capture directly to QNAP with Black Magic Media Express or Resolve. It times out at exactly 2GB.

Hi - it's not 2 GB - it's 2.15 GB exactly. This was a classic problem with Adobe as well (at one time) where you could not record out to any network volume with Apple computers that was over 2.15 GB.
When capturing via Media Express or Resolve to our new QNAP, it won't save a capture larger than exactly 2GB... but works with CC

We do media conversions most everyday from film or videotape to digital files on hard drives. We finally broke down and bought a QNAP in order to simplify the process from capturing to fixes to export

We are still using the original 422 Decklink card we bought years ago. Will it work with CS4 or CS5 It has a SPDIF connector on it. Our PCI-X card doesn't work with CS4 it seems.

not yet, when they release drivers which explicitly state that they will, then you will have dual boot possibilities.uncompressed is visibly better...but pro res will surprise you!

Yes it can if you change the capture from 'stereo' to '5.1'. Then it will capture 6 channels of audio via the SDI. Baz

Yep. Just pick the DVCPROHD codec in the capture widow and bring it in via HD-SDI cable from the deck. We've done this on a number of projects so the client can edit on a tamed down raid setup.Steve W
