16:9 Timeline Into A 4:3 Timeline Problems

This might be a Creative Cloud question, so I'll post in both. On a 17" MacBook Pro with Mavericks and Premiere CC, we've taken 1280x1080 speaker in front of green screen footage and edited on a timel

Thanks Jeff. I wish I could post screen grabs, but it's proprietary material. The material is DVCPro HD. It was captured in Final Cut from the camera, hence the 1280x1080 size. It was then given to a

Actually, using good mics, a free call via skype will give you WAY better voice quality than a standard phone line. The other way to go is use the phone just for monitoring, but use a recorder at the
Interfacing With Intensity Extreme

I should add that I've been trying to do all of this through the HDMI ports. When sending the audio out through RCA the Intensity processes it just fine. For some reason it doesn't like the embedded H

Playing Audio at Double Speed

I've noticed this problem over the years but don't know why it happens. Sometimes when I play a timeline at double speed (hitting 'L' twice) I can distinguish the audio without a problem. Other times

Yeah, all of the above. Captured as ProRes as well.
Tired of Magic Mouse!

Looked through old posts but couldn't find this topic, so thought I'd bring it to the pasture. In short, I've had all I can take of Apple's Magic Mouse. Been using it on my MBP 17" with FCP 7 for over

Agreed! I used the Mighty Mouse at my last job and it's the best mouse I've used. Totally forgot about that one. And they make a wireless version! Problem solved. Thanks.
Video Wall

I have managed to create a video wall with Apple Motion and now have to get the middle tile to zoom out to cover the entire screen and that video to continue. Any suggestions
Re: Video Wall

Without actually seeing what you created I would say take the video wall Motion file into Final Cut without the middle title (I assume you added the title in Motion) and create the title there, then s

I figured it out, or at least I figured out how to get it to work. In the "AMA Settings - Bins" dialog, it was on "Create a new bin". I unchecked it and checked "Use active bin". Worked like a charm.

I appreciate that. It did dawn on me today that, like you said, I could compress in the background while editing my next timeline. That makes up for the extra time Premiere takes to compress an FLV co
