Putting different size video together

I am using final cut pro 6 and am trying to clip together different size video clips. Some are 640x480 and a couple are AVCHD HD. What is the best way to do this Mike A.

Convert everything to one format. AVCHD imports as ProRes, so you need to take your 640x480 footage and convert that to ProRes as well...1920x1080 if that is your size. COMPRESSOR does this: http: pis

I think I solved the problem. I changed the codec from Dv ntsc 48 to apple intermediate code 1080. I no longer have the audio problem after doing this.
