Apparently in older versions of FCP we could either burn new timecode into clips or create "auxiliary" timecode. I'm receiving lots of footage without "locked" timecode, and sometimes with none at all

Since you don't have multiple video angles, you probably don't need a multicam clip. Exporting to FCPX as in your case 2) should be the best option.Try lowering the embedded audio in the video clip ma

Part of the problem seems to be that when exporting XML directly to FCPX it can create a new project and go in the wrong library.

I used Dragonspeak to do this. It worked pretty well, producing the list of words spoken with pretty high accuracy, but of course no punctuation.

Hi Emma, Maybe you could export your scene text into a text file, edit the text file into a list of markers, then import that list of markers back in Would that get closer to the goal
