I too sold my wonderful EX 1 because I thought that the more modern sensors were more flexible regarding poor light. I bought the PXW-Z150 and although it shoots 4K I still work in HD. I was right abo

Don, as a past user of the EX 1 I totally agree. In going to the Z150 with its 1" sensor I figured that I'd get a much shallower DOF. Not so I'm sorry to say! The problem is that as you increase the f

Yes, there is good software to solve your problem, it's called EditReady. Now that I'm shooting the Sony XAVC codec I needed a converter and was advised to use EditReady. I find it very good indeed an

Bob, that's exactly my point, the Z150 ramps the aperture with the focal length so that for much of the time you're limited to f4 thereby making it more difficult to obtain shallow DOF. With the EX1 y

I agree with Andrew, the initial indication of likely time for an operation very often turns out to be ridiculously pessimistic. Give it 15 minutes or so and then see what time is indicated. Michael S
