I think the trick you're looking for is low(er) bitrate AVCHD on a DVD5. I've done it a bunch. It works, as the data rate for the AVCHD file is low enough that it can be read. That's the key, as well

Agreed. I see most use in these realms. DR and Telestream. What I have been seeing (and in the #2 and #3 market, no less) is use of consumer encoding apps (Sorenson, Compressor, etc). Why Because some
