MotionVFX is terrific. The gold standard. I usually start there. If they don't have what I need, I will check out Pixel Film, among others. I have used a number of their plug ins--pretty good, overall

I hope this version is more stable. 10.4.1 was definitely the crashiest version since 2011. Literally a dozen or more crashes per session.

I was able to work on the native HEVC files without transcribing to pro res. My question is really: is there an image quality boost with HEVC vs H.264 Or is the benefit solely the smaller file size...

There is a cost in time and effort to deal with Windows vs buying more expensive hardware from Apple. None of this is new. I would rather spend my limited brain cells on editing than operating systems
