Resolve is GPU intensive so you need to look at what the GPU is doing during a render not just the CPU. Unusual choice of codec for optimised media. A 444 HDR codec is complete overkill for GH4 files.

If you are using the Version 14 beta there have been issues with audio crossfades. Keep an eye on the Blackmagic forum to get a list of known bugs with this beta software. If you are using version 12

DCP can handle many frame rates including 25 but in my experience a lot of cinemas are a decade behind and many only safely handle 24fps. You might need to ask a lot of questions to determine if 25 is

I'll bet your sequence settings have defaulted to DV codec. If so then change the sequence codec settings to ProRes 422 and it will render better. DV is a horrible old legacy codec that turns graphics

Alright, I think I get it. Select clips -- assign role. I can use the minimize button to shrink the tracks that I've already assigned, and then assign (or re-assign) the remaining tracks. Makes sense.

Not much point in using HQ. Normal ProRes422 is fine for footage coming from a DSLR. Have a search on the Final Cut Pro forum for advice from Gary Adcock about avoiding HQ except for 2k up frame sizes
