Go to your system drive (C:) Program files Common files OFX Plugins You should see that the Boris folders are in there. You move them temporarily to another folder, obviously not while Resolve is open

Quicktime is notoriously unreliable at reporting clip info. FCP is much more reliable.

You can also create your subtitles in Resolve and not go back to FCP. Or export your subtitles from FCP as ProRes4444 and add them to the final timeline in Resolve.

You should trust the track meter. The master can be affected by all sorts of things and doesn't reflect the actual recording levels. The correct way to pan a track is to use equal energy panning. This

Alright, I think I get it. Select clips -- assign role. I can use the minimize button to shrink the tracks that I've already assigned, and then assign (or re-assign) the remaining tracks. Makes sense.

Not much point in using HQ. Normal ProRes422 is fine for footage coming from a DSLR. Have a search on the Final Cut Pro forum for advice from Gary Adcock about avoiding HQ except for 2k up frame sizes
