I just noticed this today, but FCP X has been truncating head and or tail some clips in an angle. I created a multicam clip using three cameras and separate audio. There were large gaps between clips

That sure is some beef. For 2.5k ProRes @ 1080, you could edit on an iMac. But then it wouldn't be an nvidia case study. :-( :- :-)

Yes that's exactly what's happening. One thing I'd recommend is possibly adding the VO enhancement effect to the compound clip instead of inside the compound clip. This is assuming you are applying it

Pete - You might be selecting more than just video clips in the browser (perhaps compound clips or graphics, pdfs, etc...). Select a few clips at a time and right-click to see if it's still grayed out

Personally I keep clip skimming turned on, when I move back to the timeline I dip the cursor over a timeline icon and the viewer switches back. Not perfect workaround, but works OK for me. EX1 MBP FCP
