no idea what you mean by that. 25 frames per second (PAL) is either interlaced (50 half fields) or progressive (25 whole fields) yes, but 50i has a greater temporal resolution than 25p. ie You are cap

Don't know about Squeeze, but I am pretty sure Rhozet Carbon encoder supports XDCAM on the PC. I also believe ffmpeg and VirtualDub can support XDCAM files with the proper support libs.
