the echo effect would probably work for you... and keep it all on one layer. Kevin Camp Senior Designer KCPQ, KMYQ & KRCW
Randomizing Opacity over repeater
by Michael Bernard 6 years ago
Does anyone know of a way to randomize opacity over a shape repeater. Wiggle transform covers every other property, except opacity. This seems like it should be simple, but I can't find a solution. po

Save Frame As
by Michael Bernard 7 years ago
Hi all, Basically when I go to Save out a frame of my animation, After Effects is only giving me the option to save it at half resolution, unless I resize it in the renderer which makes it pixelated.
Re: Save Frame As

I figured out a workaround, which is just make the sequence one frame and render out a tiff sequence... but I'm still curious as to why the save frame as function was being weird. hhmm...

Thanks for your help. I think due to the nature of the rig, that route didn't do what I needed it to but could definitely be helpful in the future. Expresso is an intimidating beast. I ended up gettin
H264 in After Effects

After getting not so great results with the H264 encoder built into After Effects, I decided to get Quicktime Pro in hopes that it came with a better H264 encoder. I then downloaded X264, which I hear

custom alpha with drop shadow
by Michael Bernard 7 years ago
I've got a layer I need to render as an alpha. Sounds easy enough. My problem is, the layer has a drop shadow, and is also under another drop shadow. It's sandwiched in the middle of about five layers

Thank you Joseph. I was unaware of the drop shadow only switch. That helps a lot.

Hi, Another approach would be to recreate the lid of the photocopier as a 3D object but, as Dave Laronde points out, this won't be simple as you'll need to make reflections, shadows, etc to make it co
