Yes I'm 100% sure. For encoding FCX is taking great advantage of quick sync where PP is not. Same with effects like image stabilization. FCX is using alms or 100% of CPU and almost 100% of GPU where P

FCX is definitely preferred for a macbook, If you don't believe me check out my recent test comparing the 2014 Macbook Pro to the 2015. FCX is WAY faster than Ppro on this laptop. My suggestion is to

I ran the same tests on a $5000 (tax included) 6 Core Mac Pro with D700 Graphics as well as a 5K iMac with M295X (best option) GPU and i7 4790K CPU (best option). Also included is my $1300 Mackintosh.
