DCP is comprised, in part, of MXF files, but DCP and MXF can be mutually exclusive. Adobe Media Encoder can make DCP files for you, or you can purchase plugins that have been mentioned here already.

Thanks Jeremey-- I did not know this plugin existed. But while it looks great for other things, it does not track 3D titles. I just wrote Coremelt and they told me it's something they are looking into

No, they didn't. I actually had background rendering turned off during the whole troubleshooting process. But I am surprised there was no helpful error message when trying to export to DVD - something

You mean the white edge around your subject, right you could add more corrections, selecting different parts of the black area since you don't have uniform black, and only make small changes to each.
