Why not skip the AE step You can open the video in Photoshop, apply the Camera Raw Filter (Shift+Command+A), then export directly to ProRes for 10bit editing.

Could be your colour profiles By default the renderer uses a linear workflow, but applies a display profile to the viewport and outputs files with an sRGB profile. Try changing your output profile in

Two different principles. A game engine maps textures to polygons, plus a few optimised post effects. A lot of the detail is already baked into the textures - shading to mimic complex lighting or mate
