At this point, the main advantage is that it is supported in earlier versions of AE such as CS6. There are some conveniences having the plug-in version certainly, but for the mostpart there's nothing

You've an expression on Transform along with a Wiggle effect so one of those is "competing" & moving your layer out of view I'm guessing. Try disabling just one or the other to isolate the culprit. Yo

Sounds like a UV mapping issue with your new poly. You'll have to dig down into E3D and look at what it's defaulted too for that geometry. Should be a quick & easy tweek.

I can't say for sure if this is the problem, but check under: Project Project Settings Capture Properties, then check that the Desktop Preview Acceleration is set to None. I had a similar problem with
