Masks are located under the layer or group they are applied to. You may have inadvertently turned off the visibility of masks in the Layers List - there are icons at the bottom to show masks, behavior

It's off by default so that the movie will play on older, slower computers - high quality requires a higher data rate. That being said, it's on by default in QT7. -- Mark Spencer Freelance Editor Prod
