Proper 5.1 order according to SMPTE and the only order you should ever use: Ch1: L Ch2: R Ch3: C Ch4: LFE Ch5: Ls Ch6: Rs Anybody who tells you different is attempting sabotage

This is not necessarily true. You have to think deeper about what is going on with each of these formats. A temporal compression codec like H.264 in 5D files means that you can achieve a bit higher qu

Shane's notes in this thread have an inconsistency, just pointing out that for HD outputs, they should be UPPER (odd) field first. SD outputs are the only time you would use lower (even) field first.

This is normal. Your file's encoded bounds are 720x480. When you drop the DVD encoding preset on it, as long as the preset is set to Aspect Ratio: 16x9, it will encode how you expect.

You have the generators set, now you need to set system frequency (23.98, 25, 29.97, etc.), resolution (1080, 720), TC settings to INTERNAL PRESET. Enter the time code start and store it as the TC GEN

Yes you can. A Cinema Tools "Conform" process only changes the speed at which the files will play back. Simply open in Cinema Tools again and click "Conform" and choose 29.97. Voila, you're back.
