After you convert the 1080-24p footage to quicktime, either by using Log & Transfer or Raylight for Mac, it can then be converted to 1080-25P by using DVFilm Atlantis. The result should then intercut

You might try Raylight for Mac ($150), it is a lot less picky about the file structure, quicker than Log and Transfer, and also imports your metadata into the bin so you can search and sort on clip in

DVFilm Maker for Mac can add 3:2 pulldown. I believe it is almost real time for most SD formats and typical workstations. It also has options for softening interline flicker (the "Deflicker" setting)

There's a DirectX component which will not work with Vista but the other components (the quicktime codec) which should, and it will still be usable, although you will not get fullscreen real-time play

The release version will run on either G4, G5 or Intel Macs. There is also an Intel-only version in beta that you can request, it runs about 50% faster vs the release version on Intel.

I would consider instead converting your DVRack AVI's into Raylight AVI's. Raylight handles the YUV to RGB conversion better. You can continue using DVRack for capture. Try installing the demo version
