Reconnecting Files
by Lynette Gilbert 5 years ago
I'm brand-spanking new to AE, though I've worked in FCP and Motion for years and years. I had to copy my files onto a new drive to bring them home to work with, and now, of course, when I open the fil
Re: Reconnecting Files

Thanks. None of that worked, so I just imported the files again. I guess in the future, I just can't name things in sequential order, as that's when AE thinks it's a sequence. What a pain in the butt.
The Effect "Looks" is Missing

Thanks, I color correct in both FCP and Color quite often. I've worked in FCP for 10 years, I just needed some guidance as to what "Looks" was.

I've tried playing it in about 4 different programs, but I never use VLC, so I gave it a try. Nope. It has to be the files. I emailed the client yesterday, but I haven't heard back from him yet.
ProRes Files Won't Play
by Lynette Gilbert 7 years ago
I just converted a ton of Apple HDV 1080i60 files to ProRes 422. When I try to play them in FCP, they play for about two seconds and then stop. I convert to ProRes 422 all the time - what have I done
Re: ProRes Files Won't Play

Well, it seems to be working now. Weird - I've never had this problem before. All I did was copy them onto a different drive, but one that didn't have a ton of stuff on it.
