Working in Resolve... 1-create a mixer node 2-in the layer mixer, change the composite type to ADD 3-add a node after the layer mixer and saturate to taste this pretty much washes out the background,

Update - It appears this is a lens fault, the camera is working fine with other lenses. I only had a 50mm prime to test is on before but I have tested it on a 24-70 and there is no problem. Pretty rel

Just go to File- New- Black Video (or Color Matte). Unless you specifically want text logo and or a transparent clip. You can rename it anything you want (either in the timeline or Project Window). BT

Depends on how you're motion tracking... Built in Tracker, Mocha, Camera Tracker. Though it sounds as if simple layer parenting would work.
