PPro CS 6, unknown error on export
by Laurence Bartone 3 years ago
On a video of 8 minutes or so, I get the error. If I divide the video into two halves, each half renders OK. Running a recent Mac and PPro CS6. Rendering to an external drive, plenty of room. I do uti

by Benjamin Harrison 5 years ago
I want to install additional encoders into Adobe Media Encoder. I am referring to Pro Res, Go Pro, Mov, and Netflix. I have CS6 but in my encoder, those encodes are not there. Thanks in advance.

I'm running PPro 6 on my brand new iMac. 16 gigs, i7 on steroids, 4 gig memory, etc. I'm keeping my video clips on a SSD (USB 3) and for 1080, it's absolutely a realtime machine. I can run 4k clips in

David - I KNEW you were going to say that! ;-) I'm not up for spending more at this time, so I'll likely stick with 1080 for now. It was just an experiment anyway - the Phantom 3 Pro does nice 4k... I
Feature length project in PPro CC and preparation of the footage

Hi, I am about to start the editing process of a feature length documentary (with 20hrs+ of footage), shot with several different cameras: C100 mark ii in mp4, a canon 6D DSLR, Gopros... I am a little

OK, I'm editing 4k in a non-top-of-the line machine. Top iMac, actually, but 4k is choppy, and I'm happy to transcode - don't know the best way to do that though... bartone.com
Converting native Canon T5i clips using Streamclip
by Paul Campbell 5 years ago
To be honest, any conversion software could've taken the place of Streamclip in the subject line. I've been reading a lot of threads in this forum about why it's not a good idea to simply drop native

The mp3 to wav analogy is spot-on. I would definitely investigate Premiere--FCP6 may not even support ProRes LT, and then you're right back where you started. You'll find Premiere to be pretty similar

Looking for a Canon Lens for full frame video

The wider angle lens will certainly help with both shake and depth of field. There's also some good post 'filters' that'll help with camera shake - especially if you can crop in post. The 5DIII is a d
iMac or MacBook Air? Much speed difference?

I'm not concerned about acquiring another monitor (I've three now), so the iMac choice is mostly a matter of being able to toss it in my car and spend my summer in another town. Since my MacBookPro wa

Yes. iMacs have higher end CPUs and graphics cards, thing premiere pro craves. But an Air should work in a pinch. Just not at the same level an iMac will Shane Little Frog Post Read my blog, Little Fr

bring them into adobe media encoder, then mark in and out the sections you want to keep. you can add all of them and it will export them each one at a time. only way I know to do what you need.

Sony AVCHD camcorder now not being seen in FCE

I've a Sony camcorder, very new, 1920x1080, and for some reason the media isn't showing up in FCE. Now, I've done this previously, no problem at all, I can bring the clips in (.mts clips) and FCE conv
Lav record settings for FCE use
