create gradient along path.

Hi, there are a couple of tutorials around, but unfortunatly I still have not found the right answer. AIM: I want to draw a mask and have a stroke for this mask, but with a gradient along (start black

This is a pretty decent workaround if you actually want the grandient's angle to follow a curved path. Essentially: 1. Draw your path 2. Use a 4 colour gradient ramp to generate the gradient points 3a

Better looking Stroke than Layer Style Stroke?

Hello I am applying a stroke with layer styles to a trapcode 3d stroke, and particles from CC Particle world. It looks pretty decent, but it isn't quite as smooth as I had hoped. I know it probably mo

Hey, Had the same problem last week. For me, it was 100% to do with the Windows 'page file'. Look into it but essentially the page file is for the overflow when your RAM is completely used up by appli
Element 3d "flicker" when rendered?

Hello, I have recently been playing around with element 3d, and I produced a shot with the jet that I am pretty happy with, however there is 1 frame of the final video where the jet disappears - it do
Re: Element 3d "flicker" when rendered?

Yes. That solved the problem for me. Essentially you just need to trick E3D into seeing every frame as unique so that it doesn't try to cut corners when rendering. Lance
Natural Type-On Expression

The old text animator Typewriter preset is great. However, it types at a constant cadence like a dot matrix printer. Is there a way to make a more natural type-on that emulates a human typing Maybe so

How to create text with Gradient?

How do I create text in After Effect with Gradient color Thanks!
Re: Thannk!

I often do this by using Layer Styles. Using Layer Styles is far simpler and lets you use multiple colour gradients. Just beware of the catch with using Layer Style on layers in a scene with 3D layers
Oblique Projection in After Effects

Re: Oblique Projection in After Effects
by Kalleheikki Kannisto 4 years ago
The moment you add a camera, you get perspective distortion and the lines won't remain isometric. The easy approach would be to make it in 2D with shape layers or imported graphics. I guess the questi

Hi, Glad it helps. I would suggest sourcing the higher level files if possible, and retaining the original file structure. If you can't source them, at least bring in what you have via Media Browser.
