I know a lot of people have to use 3rd party hardware to capture video. I like to use 3rd party hardware for playback on broadcast compliant equipment more than capturing video. I did some testing wit

So has the 10.3 Update calmed your fears on the Future of FCPX?

Hardware releases aside, for those who had doubts like me has this new update renewed your faith I'm certainly a lot more confident going forward and very pleased with the update.

I think you're being overly pessimistic Oliver. I don't really care if Apple kills FCPX, but for now it's my NLE of choice and my favorite NLE by far. If Apple pulled the plug I'd be cool moving to Wi

What would Walter Murch think of FCPX 10.3?
by Mathieu Ghekiere 5 months ago
Well the title pretty much says it all. With the new Roles features, being able to focus on certain stuff, etc... In my opinion with this release I don't understand how one could still defend tracks.

I would think he would "get it" - being as much a sound designer as an Editor, I've never been happier with a timeline as I am with this new version. Hopefully he'll take another look, though the only

It's not about fighting or pushing back - all the requests are common sense and real. For instance, just this morning I'm attempting to import a FCP 7 job into X. Used 7toX and about 10 to 15% of the
