Grid overlay for the Viewer?

Sorry, I don't think I've ever run into that problem before. BTW, it's "Duplicate as Snapshot", not screenshot. I realize you know what it is, just wanted to clarify. Hope someone here has a solution

Trying to import Canon C300 MKii RGB 4:4:4 12-bit 2k footage into FCPX 10.2.2 with no luck. DaVinci Resolve 12 lite will not accept it either. Premiere Pro CC 2015 is the only app that will import it.
