If you right click on the clip in the project window, choose "interpret footage" then "interpret proxy" you should hopefully be able to change the color management settings. Hopefully this works

For the middle glowing rectangle, you can do an inner glow if it's a separate layer or just draw the inner glow. Then you can create the outer flow by duplicating the rectangle and coloring it lighter

That's a good way to do it. An easier way if you have R14 is to export as an Alembic file which will bake virtually anything, including particles and animated generators.
