Thunderbolt (in its current iteration) is slower than all four PCI-E slots in the Mac Pro. It doesn't have the bandwidth for GPUs or Blackmagic's Decklink 4K or AJA's Ryker.

You don't need the HDP2 if you have the LHi. LHi will output genuine progressive RGB over HDMI, converting YCbCr to RGB, 1080PsF to 1080p and 1080i50 to 720p50. (I have the Dreamcolor and LHi.)

I think Daniel meant for you to use the x264Encoder component on the ProRes file you've been sent. If you don't have Quicktime Pro you can use it via MPEG Streamclip.
