Timecode will sync between the AF100 and Hyperdeck when using the SDI connection. The Hypdeck also has a feature in the set-up software to "begin recording when timecode starts" which enables a record

Thanks! I thought it might be similar to shooting raw files where the image looks flat until it's color-graded. Shouldn't be a big deal working around it.

Avid has the DNxHD codec which is free to download and works with Premiere, just use it as a quicktime file. Several bit rate options too.

You can actually add an AE comp directly to the Media Encoder to bypass the big lossless render. You open the Media Encoder and go to File and then Add After Effects comp.

Don't know if this issue has been resolved yet, but I have the same problem. There needs to be a BFX filter on both clips that are part of the dissolve. If BFX is only applied to one clip it will work
