Apple has been successful many times in the past at simplifying things and making them more capable at the same time. I'm going to trust that they did this until I get it in my hands and see otherwise

Like others have said it is a game of small increments at a certain point and better lenses will help at certain times a lot (mainly because they're faster or have better IS) and certain times not at

I think nowadays most people are so used to watching bad compression, youtube awfullness and improper anamorphic stretching that the general pubilc can almost never tell the difference between imagers

Skintone is such a hard to identify thing sometimes with how different cameras handle it. It is almost always one of the most heated discussions too because it is so related to one's taste and persona
