by Juan Mora Baquero 4 years ago
Hi Friends! I recently shot a video where I had strong sunlight and failed to see that my lens had a couple of finger marks (it may be a weird flare, but I doubt it). Here is an example of what happen

If they are dirt on the lens, which is likely the case, they will be stationary, which does help matters. It is a job for After Effects. You want to make an adjustment layer and draw masks (with feath
How do I read the metadata of a video file shot on a Sony a7S?

Hi, I just recently acquired the Sony a7S and I'm more than glad with its performance. The problem I'm having is that I can't find a way to read the metadata (ISO and capture gamma is what I'm mostly

You'd think video camera metadata would be easily accessible in the 21st century. Thanks for the comment, David. I haven't looked at Catalyst yet - can it move or export that data in any way that's us

Hi everyone!

I'm having some issues with videos that I shot in both 23,98 fps and 25 fps.
They are different scenes of the same short-film, but, by mistake I shot a couple of the scenes in 23.98 fps and others in 25 fps. The problem I'm having is that, after conforming all the shots I have on 23.98 up to 25 fps, I notice a slight (but noticeable) increase in the speed of the dialogues on those shots. And that increased speed is giving me trouble, because the scene is not as good as the original one (shot in 23.98).
What would you advise me to do? Pull down all the 25 fps shots to 23.98? Or maintain the actual frame rate (25) and just deal with the fact that my mistake during the shooting will end up affecting the final product?
Thanks a lot for your input.

Bests,

Hi, I'm having a sync problem with material I shot on 23,98 fps on a Canon 7D and a Sound Devices 702, and then converted to 25 fps. This is what I did: I converted the original h264 Canon 7D video fi

Thanks for the help. The only bad thing about increasing the speed up to 4 percent (resulting in a 50044 b s sample rate, from a 48000 b s original sample rate) is that the pitch of the voices goes up
