Uncheck "Visible" in the Falloff tab to hide them for a specific effector or deformer. Or uncheck "Deformer" in the viewport's Filter menu to hide them all.

I got a shape that i want to appear from a mask. But when i move the shape the mask moves with it. I could just use another shape that matches the colour of the background. But using masks would be so
