by Josh Haggard 8 years ago
I am working with the ATEM-1 for sports broadcasting. I am trying to come up with a way to transition in lowerthird graphics. The only method I have worked out how to do it is placing the same input o

I don't believe there's a way to do this with the DVE transition. Here's two options that you could go for: 1. If you're happy with the Lower Third simply fading in, chuck it in a Media Player and set

For those interested I spoke with BlackMagic and they confirmed that playback only supports uncompressed or DNxHD 220x. Technician said a transcoder might be able to convert a ProRes file to DNxHD but

by Josh Haggard 8 years ago
I'm looking for a solution for streaming a live broadcast to a CDN via 4G (probably Verizon's LTE). It appears to maintain a sufficient upstream rate (2mbps min) I'll need to use a bonded cellular sol

Thanks, but I believe the Teradek includes mandatory encoding (which we don't want) and also only allows the connection of one modem. Further search for bonded solutions led to the Peplink Max. It is

I'm having the exact same issue. Bought a Lenovo K330 this afternoon to do some live streaming but it and the Decklink SDI card don't seem to be compatible. Lenovo K330 Decklink SDI card BlackMagic 8.

I captured some AVCHD clips to Pro Res Proxy. Some clips I use only audio. When I media manage to LT those clips capture the unused video. I am media managing by: Selecting sequence media manager Crea

I'm not sure this would work, but maybe if you media manage only the video, then rebuild a sequence with the audio you already have Not sure it would only transfer the video, but it's worth a try Jerr

I shot a 1.5hr sports event on two HMC-40s capturing to SD cards. I captured these as Pro Res Proxy, multi-clipped, did my offline edit and am now ready to go online. The trouble is that one of my cam

Go to my site and get a copy of FCP reconnect. No, it won't help you in this situation, but the manual has tons of info on under what conditions FCP relinks in what way. Short possible solution: Remov

Many factors influence compression time. I'd say Core2Duo might be your weak link though. A MacPro would help. Clustering would help. A MacBookPro with Express port and Matrox MXO2Mini with MAX h.264

I am doing a two camera shoot for a sporting event. Duration will be around 2 hours. My plan is to offline in ProRes Proxy and multiclip the two angles and go through and cut out all the stoppages dow

You shouldn't have to go through this "CUT" clip step if you have your cameras set up correctly.... Sync both camera's timecode, either via jam-sync (setting both cams to free run TC @ time of day) or

by Josh Haggard 9 years ago
I am shooting a sporting event with two HMC-40s at 720 60p. The idea is to edit in a 30p sequence, giving the option of true slo-mo replays from the 60p footage. The content will all be delivered via
