are you still diagnosing this issue if so, any updates Did you look at the switch. It's weird you are missing various LUNs from each RAID system, but not the same per host.....

Just to post on this thread as well as what I posted to the Xsan thread. YES, FCPX will work with your video files on your SAN. You can import the footage and retain the footage on that location. Here

Kevin, As with all HDDs that hit the market, it takes at least 6 months for the firmware to settle. You might want to give it at least that long. -Jordan

You are going to want as much space as possible, but you will need it "ruggedized" for sure. I would make sure your device of choice has an internal fan. Some cheaper units have no fans and only rely

It's the whole XSAN and upgrding the entire system that they are sitting on. I totally understand this, since xsan was at its peak in 10.4.11 with XSAN 1.4.2. Too bad you can't grow that system... Vin

nevermind, JT got back to me... with aja easy setup for 8 bit to DV... but could be any DV based setup or NTSC the video out will default to 29.97---- so regardless if you found yourself at 525 23.98

that format was built for firewire and the 1200a was built to pull it in over firewire... the two formats should line up just fine on the timeline if you did it right. use the easy set up for dvcprohd

your computer's internal parts aren't what you should worry about for playing back HD- if the computer is new enough and decent (AND YOU HAVE A RAID SYSTEM) like you must since these came from 1080i v

yea, call any post house in Los Angeles... this is done hundreds of times everyday- 35mm transfer to D5 or HDcamSR... etc. dig in those tapes at dvcproHD 23.98- cut your project, media manage the time

DV by itself does not hold timecode accurately, DVcam is known to be more reliable- if you are just hitting a mini dv tape you might be out of luck... best senario is something like going out Standard
