You'd think they could have addressed this in CC, no I just want to be able to expand contract, apply affects, etc. mutliple "ganged" tracks without having to create a submix for each group of tracks

I too have this problem, and so far it does not appear there is a solution. In CS6 you could zoom in on the sequence, and the audio waveform would provide for resolution, but in CC you just get an unu

There is a way to do this. (But it certainly does not beat using After Effects on an every day basis.) Instead of using the Garbage matte, use the titler to make the mask. Go to the frame you want to

I would suggest not burning as a WMV first. Export the footage using the MPEG-DVD export setting (this will assure correct Adobe DVD settings and also avoid having to re-encode the footage in your Enc
