Video wont drag from project to timeline in PP CC

Been working with PP CC since it came out and have had almost no problems. Now I have a head scratcher. I can't drag a video clip from the project panel to the sequence. The audio comes but the video

This happens to me often as well. I think this is just a stupid application bug that Adobe has yet to fully fix in any of it's previous or current versions. The only work around I have found is to eit

By the way. Is there a reason that I should use PNG over JPEG And any thoughts on what compressor I should set it to I am seeing that H.264 seems to give me the clearest results.
