Dominic, thanks for your response. Well, I actually just tried the Zeiss a little while ago. I was then faced with two issues: 1)barely enough room for me to still do any camera adjustments and also t

Well, it looks like I'm simply going to be able to use one of my white walls, although lighting and using the white sheet for high key might be used at a later date. I find speedlights sort of hit and
inconsistent black/ dark images in different software/ web
by Jon Iverson 3 weeks ago
First of all, I wanted to say that this isn't a specific Photoshop issue as I also notice similar behavior in other image software as well. Anyway, it's quite annoying and I'm looking for a solution.

Color management is a bit of a rabbit hole, especially for the web, since every monitor, and even many a piece of software is going to show it differently, and you will have no control over that beyon

I was trying to do the subject mentioned task by importing a short video into Photoshop. While I can move the gradient layer mask in any direction, I don't seem able to rotate it and have the rotation
Any way to create a gradient from an existing image?

If I took a really good shot of a sunset or some other naturally occurring gradient is there an easy way to transform it into a reusable gradient or would I just have to recreate it manually
Re: Any way to create a gradient from an existing image?

Thanks for sharing this, Jack. At one point several years back, I might have tried to use that tool to create a decent gradient from a rainbow. Not sure if it could do it that finely, but it may be po

would like to add realistic waterfall to existing image

I recently visited a well known grist mill waterfall in the US, but sadly the main waterfall was almost just a dribble and not at all like I wished it would be. It's been awfully dry in the NE US, so

If you have several shots from the place where the better waterfall is shown from a different angle, you could composite that into your shot. Getting something realistic any other way can be very tric
add realistic looking leaves to wintertime trees in images?

Re: add realistic looking leaves to wintertime trees in images?

I would do such a thing with Filter Forge, wherein you can take a bunch of leaf images and scatter them in a given area. Genetica is another good texture generation plug-in. Both have 30-day trials. T

YouTube allows high bitrate uploads. Is the 300MB file size arbitrary or is there a constraint behind it (like upload bandwidth, for example) The equivalent bitrate to meet your file size requirement
