by Johan Windh 3 years ago
Hi- I'm having a mystery. I've rendered some graded shots from Resolve Lite out as DNxHD 10-bit files. Imported into Premiere they all look fine and dandy. BUT if I take them into AE directly, they ge

Premiere to DaVinci - Frame Resize
by Matt Lowe 4 years ago
Hey All, So I've edited a short 3 minute piece using the 4K R3D files on Premiere, on a 1080 timeline, and I've done a ton of frame resizing. I'm trying to find a way to get these frame resizes to tra
Re: Premiere to DaVinci - Frame Resize

If, in a Premiere edit, the source footage is a different size than the edit sequence, one must choose a method of scaling and stick with it. Mixing will cause headaches in Resolve conforms. Here is w

Re: Playback performance issues

My experience is that Resolve doesn't handle avchd and other long-gop codecs all that well. I tend to avoid using them to cut from, and choose to transcode. Basically AVCHD is h.264 with extra format

100% agree, even with stills I have a tendency to toggle back and forth from a full screen still, rather than wipe a split except in cases you mention: matching specific shot elements accurately. JT J

You can, but since the QT redcode component that reads the Raw files for QT and FCP only does a pseudo de-bayer, you'll have a noticeably inferior image than had you played out from Scratch to D5. I'm
