Background goes black when made 3D

I've imported a .png file and want to make it 3D However, when I check the box to make it 3D the image goes black Any help will be greatly aprreciated Thanks Kieren

I know it's been years since you asked this question, but I'm sure there are others, like me, who got this thread in a search and found no solution. I'm not sure if this is the same thing, but I had 3

How to Apply a Texture to a Stroke?

I'm trying to figure out how to apply a texture to either the Generate Stroke effect or the Trapcode 3D Stroke effect. I'm trying to give a graphite texture, like a pencil is drawing a line on paper.

Doh, I feel stupid. I found it. It's Cmd+K. (This is great!) 2009 Intel MacPro 8 cores 16gig ram Snow Leopard (up-to-date) Adobe Master Collection CS4 & CS5
