I would not assume that 48 kHz between any 2 pieces of equipment actually means 48,000 +- "0". If the clip is longer, the need to "nudge" things may increase. Regards, John

NEVER use SOLID wire for that kind of application. You are just ASKING for it to break. If you are going to use individual strands of unshielded wire, at the very least TWIST the three wires together

Hi Ty, I am guessing you are using HD Media not DV. (Log and Capture for DV, Log and Transfer for HD) I will bring in the clips and make sure I label them as such; Bal RR 1211 S1 C2 T2 meaning Balboa

Yes you can do this. I assume you want to use the dictaphone as a lo-Fi pre amp and mic to input voice for Logic to process, then for that sound to play back 30 seconds later as an output from logic.

1) LEVELS - The "headphone level" out of a piece of consumer gear is close enough to "line level" (or at least "consumer line-level") that it is reasonably compatible. It is the least of your problems

Brian, The DSR-500 only shoots in DVCAM, Not Mini-DV. You can record to a Mini-DV tape, however the DSR-500 will record at DVCAM speed. 60 minute Mini DV tape will record about 40 minutes in a DVCAM C
