Fcp x file relink driving me crazy (again)
by John Doggett-Williams 5 years ago
I'll try and remain polite about FCP X - when I go to relink a missing proxy (why it is missing in the first place is a mystery) I can't go to the optimised media file even though I know it is there.

Yes audio is still problematic with DSLR's, others may have better suggestions but it sounds like an attenuator (also known as a pad) may help with the 7D, it is usually used when taking a feed from a

Hi, I've got a documentary project using a lot of archival 35mm and 16mm film which will, at the end, be exported as a ProRes 422 HQ Quicktime (from FCP7). I'm wondering what format the films should be converted to given the aspect ratios weren't originally 16x9. I'm thinking I'd prefer the films to be full screen which means they'll need to be cropped. If I get them converted to ProRes 422 will I loose quality when I scale the films up? Is there a better format the films should be telecined to? cheers,

Avid Pro HD to FCP edl

All the threads concerning exporting an Avid Express Pro HD EDL to fcp are a couple of years old and they seem inconclusive, without clear evidence of satisfied customers.

Has anyone successfully done so lately and can you share the method? It woiuld save several lives.
