Simon, Read the Fine Manual. From page 33: Step 1: Power on the camera. Step 2: Set the TAPE P2 switch to P2. Step 3: Press the MENU button on the top of the AG-HVX200 camera. Select the RECORDING SET

Hi, Looks like P2 is a very attractive "future" format. Although they have media now it's obviously not cheap available in large quantities. Projections are for much large media storage capabilities.
