by Jackie Luffy 4 years ago
I desperately need some help on this, for days I have tried to figure out why these MP4 files don't work They were MKV's 1080P, so usually what I do is use AVS Video Remaker or just simply put the MKV

Probably want to post the FFMPEG info for a working file and then a non-working file. Just run "ffmpeg -i " and the file path, without any output options, and it should list what it sees as the input

Haven't done it myself, but they offer Mac drivers for the device (same Desktop Video drivers as other devices). A quick Google search suggests that driver support was in "beta" a year ago but I didn'

Sounds like you can't do the "-filter_complex" (for the concatenate) and the "-vf" (for the drawtext) in the same command. Fortunately you can combine them in the same "-filter_complex" statement: ffm
Creating an if-then statement when using FFMPEG
by Chris Zecco 4 years ago
Hey Everyone, I was wondering if there was a way to create an IF-THEN statement using FFMPEG for files in a certain directory. For example, I am using FFMPEG to crunch down file sizes of videos to 50M
Re: Creating an if-then statement when using FFMPEG

If the quality is good at the lowest bitrate, why not use the lowest bitrate for all files :) I don't know how to do any if else switching within FFMPEG, but if you are indeed on a Mac, you could do i
Recommended Decklink Studio 2 driver & slot for Mac Pro3,1 running 10.6.8

Don't know about slots (any open PCIe slot should work, right ), but Desktop Video 9.5.3 was the last driver to support 10.6 Snow Leopard. Here is the direct download link, I think: https: www.blackma
How can one record a hdmi output of a non-standard screen resolution On blackmagic

Hello all, You wonderful people. I have a very strange resolution 1280x800. Which is apparently 24p. Although not sure. I need to record the live feed off the device from Black magic media express. Th

Unfortunately, if it really doesn't conform to the accepted Blackmagic inputs, you can't do it without another device in between. We have a similar issue in capturing classroom HDMI feeds -- the sourc
BM Design Intensity card, '07 Quad-Core Mac Pro compatibility

I've never really had any issues with the installation. Should just be able to pop in the card, boot up the machine, then install the drivers. The trickiest part might be getting the input format sett

For the clip names, I had to click the icon to the right that says "Prompt for name of each clip" when you hover over it.

Re: ffmpeg ignores my audio and video bitrate

I think that video bitrate specification is just a rough target, and it can vary depending on what is needed for the source. To get it more precise, I think you can specify min and max bitrates and bu
Computer dead untill I remove Blackmagic Intensity Pro

Hi. My computer would not start, it was totally dead. I press power button and nothing, no lights, no noise. I removed the Blackmagic Intensity Pro card and it booted OK. Anyone else experienced this.

I had a video card do this to a computer recently, so I suspect it could be a bad card. Could try it in another slot or another computer to be sure. The only bad Intensity Pro card I've had simply fai

Notice the experimental AAC encoder warning I'd try satisfying that first as described, by adding "-strict -2" to your command: ffmpeg -i credit_app_1.flv -b 1088k -ab 33k -strict -2 credit_app_1_.mp4

It shouldn't need to be an analog video source -- you can use HDMI video + Analog RCA audio too. So, if your computer's video card can output HDMI, you could send that into the Intensity Pro (might ha
