After Effects interprets 23.976 incorrectly? dropping 3rd decimal?
by Jerome Thelia 5 years ago
It seemed that AE once treated footage frame rates correctly, because I know this worked in the past. Please confirm this by trying to reproduce, it. Import a frame sequence a few minutes long so ther
Re: After Effects interprets 23.976 incorrectly? dropping 3rd decimal?

Thanks Walter, you're right and the key thing I missed is that 23.976 triggers AE to automatically move to a 24fps timebase, which is exactly as it should be. So media duration as measured in TC becom

Thanks for looking into it. I need to capture 3D video from a Sony 3D camera that currently has no software decoding available, meaning 3D video can only be used via capture from the HDMI out of the c

Thanks Tom, I see the Source TC in the viewer window, but oddly enough when I export directly from the viewer I get a clip with NO TC. Any ideas J.T.

I have the same problem too... but my QT footage (DVCProHD, HDV, whatever) gets darker after 3 frames. I found another post that had narrowed it down to using multi-processor render, which I use a lot

I've been looking in to this too. Some monitors (notably the Sony X3500 series in the UK) can, when calibrated, get extremely close to the REC 709 HD colour standard. Likewise 601 for SD. So, with tha

Accessing another Gig of Ram

Hey...I've got 3 gigs of ram but AFX only uses 2. If AFX used 3 gigs will it improve render times and those irritating "cache problems " (Right now I have 10 minute vid and it's taking almost 24 hours
Re: Accessing another Gig of Ram
