With a dual 6 core MacPro (24 logical processors) and a Quadro I regularly see extensive usage of all CPU cores. Particularly when sending rendering to Adobe Media Encoder.

It appears that deletions that happen on V1 do not impact V2. They really act like clips on the timeline except you can replace the angle.

Photoshop Lightroom has a moire brush. If it's a small, isolated clip you could export that clip as an image sequence, deal with the images in a photo app, then bring the corrected image sequence back

Try opening your sequence settings and changing the "Compressor" to ProRes422. No need for HQ, ProRes422 is what you want.

Premiere is one of the most flexible editors out there for accepting codecs. Try PhotoJPEG if you don't need transparency. It's pretty universal, and at quality 100 it looks good. Use Animation codec
