Avid Sequence to DVD using Compressor

I work with Avid DNX files, but very often clients want DVD dailies. From Avid, I export a QT reference movie same as source. I then bring the .mov into a FCP sequence so I can add a slate and B&T. Th
Re: Avid Sequence to DVD using Compressor

Why aren't you adding slate B&T inside of Media composer You likely could go in at CBR at the same data rate and have a decent looking file. Last, Compressor is the only tool that will directly make a

Re: AVCHD workflow for final SD DVCAM master

If you were on v6 or later, I'd suggest using AMA and doing a direct edit or an AMA & transcode and then edit. Since you're on 5, you need to get the files into the Avid and AMA won't help. Bartek Zee

It's hard to say - it's a better analogy to run the bitrates against uncompressed HD, rather than each other. Running a distribution codec (despite it's use!) compared to an editorial codec doesn't ha

There is no preset. You can drag a clip to the 'new icon' in a project and it'll build a sequence that matches your footage. The renders won't be in ProRes - and I'm not sure that it really matters. I
